Framlingham Castle

This beautiful castle which features as part of our logo is not only a huge tourist attraction in Framlingham but a place where locals constantly use and enjoy. From dog walkers to Pilates on the Pageant field next to the castle it is enjoyed by many on a daily basis.

Possibly most famously though, inhabited by Mary Tudor whilst fleeing from capture in 1553 after the death of her half brother Edward VI to avoid certain capture, it was also here that she found out that she was Queen of England despite his best efforts to strike her from the line of succession.

In the modern day, Framlingham Castle is “The Castle on the Hill” featured in Ed Sheeran’s world famous song!
